Pokémon Imperial, and Pokémon Modern. These games will be announced April 12th in a Pokèmon Direct. The announcement trailer will reveal the starters, Rootbit, the Grass type rabbit, Scaloom, the Fire type snake, and Platasplash, the Water type Platypus. During the trailer lots of things are seen, like a large open forest like area reminiscent of Santalune or Petalburg, but has vines that you can swing on, or a trainer flying over the area on top of a Pidgeot, or running away from a Tyrantrum on a mountain. The scenes that show battles make it clear that the battle system has drastically changed, with things like a stamina bar that drains with attacks, and dodging. It shows the player fighting a character who appears to be a rival, a girl with red hair and sunglasses, who has the type advantage of whatever starter that is shown off at that part. It ends by showing the box arts, showing a rugged elephant like Pokémon with moss growing on its body for Imperial, and a robotic frog like Pokémon with a tongue peering out that looks to be electical, along with a mechanical body that has all sorts of gears. The trailer then ends with the words "Coming Summer 2019".
