My Gen II battery was still live in 2015, but when I checked it last year, it had finally died. *Shrug* Didn't bother me, once I found out that I couldn't move them forward I didn't care and by the time the battery did die, I had Silver on VC to play.

Mine died 8, 6 and 5 years ago.
Fortunately the one that died first is the one I didn't care about so I could place counter-measures. Now i just need to buy one of those GBC "flashcarts" and I'll be able to put my saved data on 3DS...
