except it isn't "game will be announced at some point within the next 19 days, it's game will be announced in 19 days
directs usually aren't announced more than a few days before hand, if there's more than 7 days left it doesn't matter if it's 8 or 108 there's no reason to be worried

I'm aware of directs being announced a few days before, but that the problem is that they'd want to promote Zeraora before moving on to Gen 8, and they've yet to unveil it officially.

It'll happen. Calm down. Directs are almost never announced more than a couple days in advance. I don't expect to hear anything at all (unless you count Zeraora possibly being in CoroCoro) until Feb. 24-25.

You DO realize that they announced Pokemon Sun and Moon's existence on February 26th, right? That was the one where they had that 5 minute trailer showing every game and then at the very end they had the Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon titles that had shown up on that copyright website a day before and people were somehow saying they were fake

Dude. Mythical Pokemon that appear in movies are usually first announced in the February CoroCoro issues, which are released around the 12th to 14th.

At the earliest, Zeraora will be in this month's CoroCoro, which should leak on the Internet around the 12th.

There's no reason to think the new Pokemon game, if it is indeed coming out in 2018, will be announced any earlier than February 27.

Just wait until March before you complain about "no news."

Addendum: One of the most critical factors in deciding whether 2018 or 2019 is not just whether the game can be completed on time.

But whether if everyone including TPC, Nintendo, and Masuda agree about current Switch sales and future sales (Holiday) projections.
