Their wasn't really any thing exclusive for passimian. No new toys coming out this year, no stickers nothing. We just assumed GF forgot about it completely. But here we are now. With a preview showing a potential capture for it. Plus that one dies that showed ash getting a popipol turned out to be nothing. And Poipipol is just another mellowetta. And people really thought ash would get Alolan Slash before passimian.

That's not even true, we've been getting multiple hints from the poters, from Rowlets actions in the anime and from from Pokken. The same people who think Rowlet won't evolve are the same people who thought illima, Acerola, Nanu, And Guzma won't appear in the anime just because they didn't wait long enough. Trust me Rowlet is only being put to the side for it's big arc story to be revealed. If you jump to conclusions right away you'll get BTFOed. Also like to point out that a Comedic Decidueye exists, this is probably what they want Ash's Decidueye to be.
