The Regi Trio are based off of the ancient Hebrew golems, who were said to lose their powers if the writing on their faces were removed. The Regis also have writing on there faces. Strangely, Regirock and Registeel like being pet on their faces in Poke-Amie (Regice cannot be touched since it will freeze you e hands)

Braviary with scars on it's front are considered heroic, whereas Braviary with scars on it's back are considered cowards.

I've heard this somewhere before, unrelated to pokemon. It's because if you have scars on your back, it's because you turned your back on an opponent (to run). Though that doesn't take into account assholes who attack from behind.
