Breeding question

Trying to breed a custom Alo Vulpix

Father is Snow Warning, with Extrasensory Egg Move

mother is modest (stoned) and carrying Freeze dry and Moonblast

Can anyone tell me why pic related keeps happening?

Just inject. I mean, in all seriousness, we live in an age were every single 3ds can be hack, and done so safely and easily. It takes like a minute. Just go to 3ds.guide, click on get started, follow the directions, and wham.

Doesn't mean I couldn't have place the wrong Vulpix in.

Which when you've been breeding for hours can be pretty simple while sorting through several boxes of nearly identical vulpixes

But now the three egg moves are successfully being inherited, but haven't gotten any with the hidden ability father has.

Incorrect. A father has a 20% chance to pass on the hidden ability now.
Mothers bump that up to either 60% or 80%. I don’t remember which. But that’s why you should just breed a HA female and then add the egg moves.

That’s because the dad has the hidden ability, not the mom. The game checks the mom’s ability to pass down. If the mom has the hidden ability, it has an 80% chance of passing it down.

ALso have a breeding question didn’t want to make another topic. Is interested possible to breed the male pokeball down tic the offspring orb will the mother always win. Thought I read it was 50/50 but the last 20 eggs have all been the mothers ball

50/50 is only if both pokemon are the exact same pokedex #. So you would need to breed Vulpx+Vulpix or Ninetales+Ninetals for that to happen. If you breed Vulpix + Ninetales, it will always take the female's pokeball.

In gen 6 and 7, the species-determining parent (i.e. the female in male-female pairs, or the non-Ditto parent if breeding with Ditto) will pass down its ability slot 80% of the time if it's a standard ability or 60% of the time if it's a hidden ability. It doesn't matter whether the species-determining parent is female, male, or of unknown gender, it's the same fucking rate regardless.

You fuckwits only think it's 20% for males because Bulbapedo told you so, and they likely based that claim on nothing but anecdotal evidence and the pants-on-head retarded logic of "well males couldn't pass down HAs before and they can now, then obviously there must be some kind of catch!" These are the same retards responsible for widespread misinformation regarding the mechanics of DexNav and SOS chaining and the Masuda method. They just say whatever stupid bullshit they think makes sense and don't actually bother looking into the game code to see if it's right, and don't bother correcting it until years later.

If the pokemon that determines ability has a normal ability, then the offspring has an 80% chance of inheriting it, 20% chance for the other ability.

If the pokemon that determines ability has a hidden ability, the offspring has a 60% chance of inheriting it, 20% chance for the other 2 abilities.

Gender has no effect on the ability inheritance rate.
