It's a broken system. It excludes hardcore players and rewards casuals and low-level newbs. While it's a good idea to get new players involved, it's shitty to spit in the eye of bigger players.

It has forced half a dozen hardcore players I know, who used to spend upwards of $50-100 month, to totally quit. It'll matter when players who keep this game running suddenly all leave because Niantic lied about the ex pass requirements and shits on the players.

And it's also caused a bunch of normalfags in my area to spend upwards of £100 a week on shit to try and get a Mewtwo. Normalfags will always outnumber hardcore players, and the turbo autists that keep the game running on thousands a month are in too deep to quit at this point.
