The only difference are how one evolutionary line looks, and it doesn't even effect the gameplay. The "seasons" only last a month, too, they don't change with your ds date, which would have been a really cool concept. Honestly, some areas should have had snow, and others rain, like in the previous games, if that's all they're going to do with it
