The translators who read the Chinese leak couldn't decide if the phrase used was "football lemur" or "rugby monkey." Why they couldn't decide, I don't know. I can't read Chinese.
Most of /vp/ and possibly the world at large, for one reason or another, decided rugby monkey was the more likely of the two. Most posts referencing the as-yet unrevealed Passimian called it "rugby monkey."
Then it turned out to be a football lemur.
I thought it was funny.
