Gen 7 is the frustratingly slowest Pokemon game I have played. Say what you will about Gen 4's speed, but at least you know those games will be slow at everything, from walking to battles to saving. I can work my way around that sort of thing. With Gen 7, it is usually pretty fast when nothing is happening, but all of those cutscenes just kill the flow of the pace all the fucking time. You go through battle after battle and you get to destinations quick, but those fucking cutscenes take forever to finish. I'd much rather have a game that's slow through and through over a game where it fluctuates between really fast and really slow.
