They clearly said 2018 "or later". And since we've not heard anything yet, it would suggest 2019 (they like to shill the hell out of a new generation almost a year in advance to release, especially when it's for a new system)

It is Game Freak's fault for announcing gen 8 like a month after they announced Ultra. A new generation for new hardware is a lot more exciting than glorified DLC. Doesn't help that USUM sucked.

Well that's your own loss. Grey would have just been Black and White but more polished whereas Black 2 and White 2 are proper sequels that improve almost everything about Black and White.
