touhoumon purple > touhou puppet dance performance

look, i get the better visuals, improved mechanics and multiple forms but
all this mount to naught if in the actual battles they just stand there striking a pose

tpdp 2 fucking when?

I never thought someone else would have this opinion, Touhoumon 1.8 is far better than puppet dance in my opinion.

Isn't that the same for Purple? Heck, for 2D Pokemon even.

in pokemon, when using physica moves (like tackle) the sprite moves to indicate the pokemon charging at the enemy.
in tpdp, the sprites are animated and still every move is
1. your mon strikes a pose
2. danmaku shoots toward the enemy from some point in the air
3. enemy strikes its 'i got hit' pose
it would be nice if characters like youmu or maira got a move where they charge their enemy and swings their swords at them instead of just brandishing the sword each time

yeah, i really didn't like the "Physical and Special" moves becoming "Spread and Focused" moves even if it makes more sense from a Touhou standpoint.

i don't even think it makes sense touhouwise... even touhou, in the fight games like IaMP made sure the characters didn't use danmaku as assaults.
