>>34912384I expect, if that leaker is to be trusted, that it wouldn’t be just Sri Lanka. It could be the general southeast Asian region (Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, etc.). I looked at the world map of the general area, and if they just zoomed out (regions don’t have to be proportional) it looks like a pretty good shape for a Pokémon region. You could start in Sri Lanka, have 2-3 towns and the first gym badge/trial thing, travel over to mainland India, the distance to Mumbai works as the game’s “big city near the third gym badge” like they’ve done a few times before. And it could wrap around the region over into Thailand and Malaysia.
