I got Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, since it was on offer. Playing a Digimon game for the first time, I can't help but wonder... What do people mean when they say modern Pokemon look like Digimon? My party has some metal star guy with circular eyes, an orange dinosaur with blue tiger stripes and a brown skull mask, plus red belts around his wrists, and a big long-armed plant thing what looks like a green plant-themed sack of potatoes, with Sallazle-esque eyes. Digimon doesn't seem to have a consistent design philosophy for any of its monsters beyond "Small and cute baby forms, big and edgy at high evolutionary stages", which is hardly something unique to this series alone.
