Alright let me begin by saying that I speak tamil ( a common language between Northern sl and Southern India). Kottu as posted by translation leaker was interpreted as Kottu or koththu parotta a famous food in this region. Let me preface by saying that Kottu or koththu just means scrambled... Parotta is the dish. If they were to name the food it would have been parotta and not Kottu and also, it is not the most famous food type even within the region. Famous South Indian dishes -dosai, idly, sambar, paniyaram, kolambu, soru etc. Even parotta is a northern dish adopted in the south recently. So I really think the sri Lankan region is 100% not true... It is just that Anons are finding the closest match to Kottu and then being sure 100% that it is sri lanka. Also note it is called koththu and not kottu
