>>34926740the space is not necessary and does not make it easier to read. It actually makes it more irritating to read.
A single line separation is enough to separate the current sentence and the previous one so as not to leave things cluttered.
A space is redundant and makes no actual improvement when separating two sentences. However, something it does do is distract the eye with an unrequited bit of dead space. When someone reads something, it is faster and easier for them to read a single-lined separation of two sentences because everything is more neatly organized.
Imagine a group of boxes lined up next to each other in rows with a label on each. It's easy to read the labels, right? All you do is follow along to the right and then move your eyes to the next row to continue.
Now imagine a group of boxes lined up next to each other in rows with a label on every one in every other row. Suddenly a bit more annoying to read, right? You've now got to skip over that row in the middle. What a tiresome bit of dead space, what's it even there for?
