>>34931461>New series stuff I know about the Ultra Guardians arc. Why do you think I mentioned it countless times in my previous posts?
Regardless of its existence, the anime is still called Sun and Moon. If it were called anything else, Dephender or Adamant or whomever is responsible for the episode threads on Serebii's forums would have restarted the episode count like they did with BW (BWS21 rather than BW085), or XY (XY&Z1 rather than XY094).
Episode threads for this new arc are still following the same SM count (SM061, the first episode in this new arc, is called SM061 in the threads, not "SMS21" or "SMUG1".) This is an appropriate decision because anime's name itself hasn't actually changed. This is still SM.
I am not disputing that UG isn't a new arc. I am disputing the notion that an arc only changes if the series' name does, which is ridiculous.
We don't need a name change to prove that an arc has changed. AG didn't have it with its arcs, SM doesn't have it with its arcs. Just accept that as fact and move on.
>This isn't how arcs work in the Pokemon Anime. We've been over this. It doesn't matter what you think the logic of it is, the fact is that anyone who watches the anime knows that it moves in arcs as determined by a name change.1) There is no name change to SM at all, at least not in the Japanese version. Dubs change the fucking name all of the time. We don't use the dubs as a means to determine a season change.
The anime is STILL called SM, but the arc has still changed. AG never got a name change at all, and we know it had at least 2 arcs.
Also you need to drop this 2 arc bullshit, because we've had at least 3 in this series by this point.
>The arc also gets a teaser trailer (Already released) and normally features a new outfit or new story focus. Aether had a trailer and a new story focus too, as well as a new poster.
We had plenty of trailers in the XY series (at least 7 from my memory). We had 2 arcs in XY, not 7.
