Outside of sporadic viewing during the indigo league seasons, DP was the only season I ever watched. I liked the addition of contests.

Yes.

His ideas are morally reprehensible in the context of the show, but you cannot deny the results. He's the perfect opposite of Ash, which is what made him so compelling. A damn good trainer with moral decay.

In many ways, he echos the ideas and philosophies of IRL competitive players, with ash representing the casual playerbase.

Although I don't really like how, many times, they make him out to be the undisputed bad guy.
