>>34935062Just gonna respond to OP rather than other posts in thread. Just my opinion. I don't claim to be a professional or anything, but I wanted to discuss patterns I see forming here.
>Zodiac patternRabbit is from the Chinese Zodiac, so big check here
>Tough, Cool, Feminine patternLast gen we had a Tough Fire, Cool Grass, and Feminine Water. Gen before that it was Feminine Fire, Tough Grass, and Cool Water. Makes sense this gen would then be Cool Fire, Tough Water, and Feminine Grass. Just by a cursory glance at the supposed base stages of the starters, you could argue they give the appearance of following this pattern. A feminine Grass lemur with an affinity for fruit and long hair, a speedy cool Fire rabbit with smoky fur designs, and a tough huge Water platypus that uses its tail for massive damage.
>Water is a weapon patternPlatypus's tail can easily be turned into something. This is the weakest of them, though
>Grass is an ancient or extinct creatureLemurs are the most ancient primates around, with many older (and larger) species having gone extinct. Big check here.
>Past, Present, Future "leak"No real indication this is being followed here, but it could work. Maybe. Not very clear yet.
>Riddler leakDoesn't really line up at all. Maybe the platypus takes on a role as a kappa, but the other two mons don't really fit the mold of a mouse/dragon and a minotaur at all. Unless the riddler was referring to Pokemon other than starters, these two leaks don't line up.
>SE Asia leakYou could argue that all these animals are found in biomes LIKE SE Asia, but I think only rabbits are technically found there
>Spain leakAgain: only rabbits are found in Spain. The other two animals are far too exotic for Europe
>Secondary typing patternThese all three have potential for cool secondary typings, and could potentially form the "second triangle" we've gotten for the past two generations. They could even form an reverse triangle, which hasn't happened yet.
