Do you guys really think they're real?I....can't tell. I mean, the last one with the cave bear, donkey, and coral had the issues with Japanese not being right, the ridiculous framing gimmick to make it look like the GF offices, and the designs where all lacking that something to call em legit. But here? Solid line work, accurate Japanese, obviously a reference sheet for the Anime with the human interactions, and the designs, WOOF. The bunny especially, its prime advertisement material and smacks of Gamefreak. It has that something missing that speaks volume of their design philosophy which fakemon always reek off. Convinced until otherwise proven fake.
What really does the trick for me is that you want to know what they evolve into. Fakemon also have a tendency to feel like the design is made in mind for them to just bigger. Here, the designs along with the notes have clear focal points that make you imagine, okay the Koala/Lemur will have some sort of berry tree tail in the end, or the bunny will have some major smoke theme with fiery ears, oh and that platypus, no way its going to be water/poison, water/steel is coming back! Starters always make huge waves of discussion till release, and these definitely have that power. Again, I really think these are real. Not just cause I love em, but because its it easy to love em. Gamefreak is leagues beyond fan artists in the starter department, and NO ONE can emulate that instant click. Maybe for regular designs, but starters? If it feels real, it is real, no question
