I'm not even saying it's just based off a badger. The backflames can easily be argued to be based off an exploding volcano or the spines for a creature like a porcupine.
But a small rodent like a rat or mouse? Come off it, there is none of that in Typhlosion.
In Cyndaquil? Yeah alright, that could be argued, I'd personally say the snout and the flame spines make Echidna likely the major inspiration.
Now then. Charmander is a lizard, it's not a dragon. Tepig is a pig, not a boar. Litten is a housecat, not a Tiger. You need to use the final forms of those ones to fit the Zodiac.
So why are you using Cyndaquil as your basis for the theory when you HAVE to use final forms everywhere else?
Oh that's right, you're making an exception because Typhlosion absolutely does not fit into the 12 animals at all and your theory falls apart unless you bend the rules even though having to do so breaks the damn pattern and invalidates it.
