It's been years since I played pokemon white and I never revisited it because I remember not liking it, mostly due to the fact that it didn't have any pokemon from the previous gens.

Last week I let myself be convinced by a few anons that I should give BW2 a try and I just started a few days ago and I'm very glad I did. And upon looking at pokemon from this gen I realized how many pokemon I really like from gen 5.

Did anyone else have a similar scenario of not liking the first games but enjoying the sequels? Let's have a gen 5 appreciation/ hate thread.
