>>34949381Stealth Rocks are unbalanced, mechanically. The distribution is fine, and the need of removal of them is fine...but them being marginally better than Spikes and P.Spikes is fucking stupid.
Specific types need to be deathly afraid of them, while others walk on them like ballerinas giving a footjob.
Iffin' yer running a team that's got one of those fire bird things, SR simply existing in the game forces a need to worry about them setters before it comes out and sets, which can create an even worse scenario because, hey look, turn one Garchomp or Mew set already!
Now that sending out your Chariflame is literal suicide, your foe laughs as you prepare to set up the spin, but, unluckily for you, countering a team knowing that one mon can't come out without fucking dying, and countering spinners and defoggers aren't difficult tasks at all, making it tougher to react to and deal with. Then, you can lose said spinner/fogger, and whoops your Talonzard's half dead, and everything else loses a nice chunk upon switch in regardless of whether or not it had been in battle. Nice Focus Sash you had. Too bad existing broke it.
It's stupid.
Spikes need 3 sets to be nearly as useful, don't deal ground or steel damage, and can be flown over. Poison spikes can be absorbed and also flown over. Sticky Web can be used against an opponent (And also flown over)...So why the fuck does the one with the most distribution do the most while having no drawback/way to avoid it?
Do these Ninja-Boulders gain sentience and fly into birds like fucking LoZ pots when they appear? Do the birds accidentally start tap-dancing on them knowing they're there and knowing they get rocked by them?
Fuck this stupid god damned shit.
