What are the absolute best and most full-featured pokeyman games including romhacks? I've played Emerald and Platinum and I'm not looking to play 9000 pokeyman games, just a few of the best.

Platinum, all of gen V, and HeartGold/SoulSilver are the best ones. Pick any from those, you can’t go wrong with any. Emerald and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire is also pretty good. FireRed/LeafGreen are remakes of gen 1 and are great. Some people really like them and some people think they’re the best. Overall, you can’t go wrong with pokemon outside of the original gen 1, XY, and gen 7.

I would actually say playing through Gen 1 has some merit because of how detached it is from everything else. Sure, the gameplay is the same but it's interesting to see Pokemon's roots. Plus you can beat the game in like 3-4 hours pretty easily.

Really just a pick your poison scenario. Iirc Volt adds more mons, where as classic BW use only GenV mons.

im currently playing sigma emereld. its fun, many older gen features been intrdoced like the split, fairy type an more pokemon moves. it even simplify trade evolutions!
