The light type is making it's debut with few examples of Pokemon with this type: Milotic, Mew and Luxray.
Unfortunately, no there will be no fusion this generation as it would bypass the DS' limit/storage
There will only be 50 new Pokemon this generation. 20 of these will be cross-evolutions from gen 1.
Starters and evolutions are Grass/Psychic, Fire/Dark and Water/Ice
A third version will be planned to be realeased in early 2011. With new features that will make your Unova experience ultra awesome
