>>34970819I never really played like that. When I was a kid I tried to have teams of, like, ten pokemon and rotate around them and tried to level them all. I grinded a ton and progressed really slow, but it was fun. Also I lost my starter in Silver version because I had female Feraligatr and my buddy wanted to breed it so I traded it to him, but then he restarted his game and forgot he had mine.
I also had a huge hardon for legendaries so my first level 100s were Mewtwo, Articuno, and Lugia because I'd drop everything so I could make Articuno spam Blizzard or make Lugia spam Aeroblast every day (used all my PP ups on those and Mewtwo's Swift because I thought Swift was the best move ever for some reason. I used PP ups on Sudowoodo's Rock throw in Silver) I never really suffered from overleveled starter syndrome like everyone else seems to.
