Yeah, pretty viable in sweeping teams and snowballing very quickly with Moxie if it manages to get off a Dragon Dance. The popularity of Choice Scarf users with base 100 Speed or more hurts Salamence's viability, however. It also has a lot of trouble setting up, since many Pokemon can put it in range of priority due to its average bulk. Furthermore, Salamence faces competition from Gyarados, which typically pulls off a Dragon Dance set better due to its better bulk, STAB moves, and typing. Salamence also cannot break past a big defensive threat in Celesteela, and Fly becomes a risky move following the use of Supersonic Skystrike.
