Its not the “death” pokemon though, thats too simple. Yveltal is a ruinbringer and destruction here means wrongful death/killing brought about by ruination. Its not like the grim reaper where its just a blanket personification of all death.

Xerneas is the prolonging of life, not a giver of new life/resurrections

Oblivion Wing is named "Death Wing" in Japanese.

English translation has this stupid way of adapting some attack names, sometimes pretty stupid.

Sucker Punch is actually an "ambush" or "surprise attack", which is why it doesn't count as a punching move, which just makes it in English confusing

it was actually translated to "Nitrocarga" (Nitro Charge) in Spanish and everyday I'm so glad TPCi let people translate directly from Japanese rather than English.

first two gens are awfully translated in my language. When I was a kid I rly didn't notice it but after replaying them on VC... holy shit.
