Anime Serena especially her second design is completely different look than her game counterpart, so when you see anime Serena pics over game pics you easily know which is which. Meanwhile anyone can post a pic of May in her R/S outfit holding a pokeball and people wouldn't know whether it's the game or anime version because it doesn't make a difference.
