Every game feels fresh and full of discovery just like the first time you play Pokemon as you have no idea what to expect and have zero idea on what the story is or any recurring characters that were shilled during advertisement.
As I've said once before, my favourite part about a new generation is exploring the region and discovering what new Pokemon there are. It's great to have no idea what's about to jump out of the grass and what their types, moves, evolutions or abilities are.
