I think the best would be to have an option. Either original resolution landscape, stretched landscape or vertical (obviously handheld only)

I assume DS games would have to be handheld only, unless there was a bottom screen attachment for the Switch / cursor on screen (this would be a bit clunky). I don't really see how DS would work on one screen cleanly with just a controller.

Because no-one's going to code a game that leads you to blocking the vents on the unit. Unlike the kiddy handhelds Nintendo were putting out, the Switch needs a vent to keep it running happy and covering it will risk damaging the units.

You do know Switch hasn't even announced Virtual console yet, right? and even when it is announced, the first 2 years of a virtual console is constant shitty NES releases like Ice Climbers, tennis, golf, clu clu land because they know those games won't sell if the good games are also for sale
