He's not correct for sarcastically dismissing the very idea that it is, in fact, obviously a countdown to Pokemon Day. Did it never occur to him that maybe the countdown will end at "1" on Pokemon Day, with the 1 representing a single new thing that will be revealed that day? Seems like the obvious conclusion to anyone who isn't brain damaged.
