>>34992056 No idea how translation or 6 month contracts work, what they imply and what they mean for the project at-large.
Late 2019 is a lot more likely for a number of reasons.
-The minimum 1 year contract (Still listed) puts the translation project to end in June 2019
-GameInformer interview with Ohmori and Masuda tells us that in August 2017 they were still unsure of how to make the core gameplay work and were waiting for Christmas 2017 to gather more information. 1.5 years to develop the game is a lot more likely than 10 months.
-Going by episodes, the S/M anime is about halfway through with a new arc starting in a few weeks.
-Going by number of movies, the S/M anime has only had 1 of 3 with the 2nd in summer this year. Three is the lowest number of movies per gen, with the average being 4.
-TCG still has a way to go before it'll match the same size as the other gens. As it stands, it's about halfway through the typical number of decks we see per gen.
-Product sheets for merchandise show absolutely no mystery figures or blank spots we normally see for new Pokemon goods on the year of a new gen
I trust this a lot more than I trust some unnamed leaker with no information and a few Nintendo promotional materials that only say '2018 or later'
