>>34991758I've actually been giving this some thought. Before I get into this, full disclosure: I never honestly believed the Jared poster, but some of his stuff did make sense.
This morning something occurred to me when I saw the 5 hour mark for the countdown come up on /vp/, that being that the Jared poster (if he actually has ties to GF) could potentially have been living in Japan or at the very least have been going off Japanese time. And Pokemon day this year seems to be going off American time. Which is confusing as god damn FUCK. I'm sure if he had actual information, he likely got that info in what he believed to be a Japanese time/date set up. But with Pokemon Day using America as a more prevalent base this year, what if he was off by exactly 24 hours? I mean, it wouldn't be unheard of, right? And this is coming from someone who, as I pointed out, literally never believed him. I expected nothing to happen, but I can't help but shake this feeling that it wouldn't be fair to not give him that extra 24 to make sure.
This morning I saw the 5 hour count and realized it was almost 19 hours since the day 3 tweet went out for Pokemon Day, this is really the only thing that convinced me. Someone fell asleep at that god damn button. I can fully believe they have a specific time they're meant to go out at and someone just fucked up. Meaning it's totally within the realm of reason that with that extra 24 hours to account for Japan to NA, we'd be at the time the final tweet should come out on Pokemon Day.
tl;dr As a skeptic, I fully support giving Jared Poster believers a full 24 hour grace period just to make sure the timing wasn't fucked up by international timezone shenanigans.
