Started on Red on the gameboy, ended with Sun. I can't find it in myself to keep playing the series. Not to mention they just "reset" the ages in SM/USUM so every trainer is like 10 now. It feels like I'm playing with children.
I wish they would have kept going with the development of trainers like in BW. Hilbert/Hilda were like 15/16, and I was like 18 when those games came out, so it felt like I was progressing along with the franchise. But this hard reset to kids that are maybe, MAYBE 10 (more like 8 and 9) just turns me off to the whole thing.
And thats not bad, either. Nintendo wants to attract a new audience, and they want to focus the franchise on a specific demographic, they dont want to keep "maturing" pokemon, they want it strictly for children. I've had a good 19 or so years with the franchise, Its time to hook new people to it.
