Narrative has no place in Pokémon

It doesn't matter even if it's well-written. It hasn't been yet, but even if it could be, it shouldn't be there. Narrative is not compelling even when it's done well.

Yes it does. Story is a huge part of RPGs. For RPGs, it's just as important as the gameplay.

Hell, it's impossible to have any form of video game without a narrative unless it's something like Minecraft. Even something as simple as Mario needs Bowser or whoever the villain to do something to justify Mario's adventure. Even Animal Crossing has the "narrative" of you trying to pay back Tom Nook.
