>>35008872I don't think you fully understood my point. Yes I understand the weight Pokemon has. But once again, if Mario odyssey and botw didn't bring people over, why would Pokemon, a game that we have been flooded with, do that?
Pokemon xy came out 2 years after the 3ds, when people were starving for a 3d Pokemon game.
Ruby and sapphire came out 2 years after the gba for North America and 1 year after for Japan. And this was 3 years after gold and silver, and a new generation was still a big and new idea.
Now look at how things are now, we've almost had a Pokemon game yearly and we just got one a few months ago, a lot of people are burned out on Pokemon and people aren't as crazed for a new release like they were for a new 3d Mario or Zelda and metroid 4.
So once again, I don't think Pokemon has that same power as they used to because of these things. Surely not as much as the games that already came out.
