See, gender is a social construct but biological sex is real. You can have sex dysphoria if you hate how testosterone or estrogen has shaped your body, or what you have between your legs, but anything else is based on an idea of what your body should represent within society's standards.
If we didn't have male or female as a descriptor of a whole person, if gendered pronouns didn't exist, then ssex dysphoria could be dealt with like any other dysphoria (Weight, body image, etc.) but it's the fake social implications which make it so intense. The world reminds you of your dysphoria every day and you live in the context of that in every conversation and action.
