If anything, the Ingress playerbase is, generally, more mature than the Go playerbase. Far less autistic, though that's not to say it doesn't have its fair share of shitters.

Who else is dropping the game for good once gen 5 is released? The pokemon designs are so bad, so unbearably ugly, that it ruined pokemon for me and I've never played any new game from gen 5 onwards, only remakes.

Eyyy same here. Pretty much the only differences are that there's Pokemon from Johto and Hoenn now, and that sometimes legendaries are thing. Overall nothing has changed because Niantic is lazy.

One day you will realise that you wil never get the perfect mon. Even if you get a 100% best moveset max cp pseudo, you will want a shiny one, or the movepool will change, or there will be nerfs/buffs. You will realise how futile it is and that there's no mon more perfect than your starter, with all its imperfections and low cp that you once powered up out of ignorance, wasting all your candy, because your starter is the only pokemon that you could choose and the first one to bring you joy on this shit game.

You're correct, however like the two posts above said, the egg is obtained during the event, so it'll have the hat if it's a Pichu.
Same goes for hatching a Pichu from a pre-event egg during the event, it won't have a hat.

I hatched a Pikaboo like 2 weeks after Halloween had ended just because the egg was sitting there the whole time I was trying to get rid of the 5k's in my inventory

Takes neutral damage to Fighting, which doesn't hamper Machamp. It has to settle for ZH/Psychic to hit Machamp for SE damage, whereas other Psychic-type defenders, such as Alakazam, Gardevoir, and the easy-to-access Espeon have Confusion, Dazzling Gleam, and Future Sight, all of which are better than Metagross' attacks. They all last longer than Machamp, too.
Not only that, it's got a weakness to Ground, and pretty much everyone, even casuals, have at least one Groudon by now.

The only perk Metagross has is resisting Dragon-type, which will deter those people who like using Dragonite on everything. Won't stop Tyranitar, though.

I think people would be afraid to use Machamp or Tyranitar, since it can have either Psychic or Steel moves. They'll have to check first, which people might not bother with.
People do have Groudon, but it's not common having to use it so that's still good.

Either way, is the Beldum worth evolving or not?

Ahaha, no. ZH/DG doesn't stop anybody from using Machamp against Blissey, it won't stop them from using Machamp against Metagross. Psychic is nowhere near as good as Dazzling Gleam, and Metagross' defenses are nowhere near Blissey's, or even Chansey's.
If they're not switching their Machamp out when coming against an Alakazam, they sure as fuck won't do it against a Metagross.

As a defender, it has no place when Espeon, Alakazam, Exeggutor, and especially Gardevoir exist. You can use it for defense, but then again you can use anything for defense and get similar results, so why the fuck does it matter?
As an attacker, it's sub-par. For Psychic, there are just so many better options. For Steel, you're only slightly better than a Scizor. Scizor also has the benefit of having less weaknesses.

I transferred my starter but I don't really regret it. It had horrible IVs and it was my least favorite (squirtle). This Vaporeon is my starter in spirit. Got him as an eevee day one and he's been my MVP ever since, even if he only has 80% ivs and a bad moveset

Metagross is the best steel type, so you should go for that. There are far better psychic types.

Though it's been pointed out further up in the thread that Metagross doesn't really have a role in the meta atm, so you could spend your stardust wiser.

Best Fighting is Machamp and best Generalist is Dragonite, but with just Machamp and Dragonite it leaves Fairy defenders a pain in the ass to deal with
Metagross would fit that role perfectly with some Steel moves

99% of spoofers are already flagged and will be perma banned this year. Niantic's just been delaying this because of quests, events, Ingress Prime and the Harry Potter game coming out.
