>>35012419These are definitely fake, but I'll do some fun speculation because wtf not
>Grass starterNot sure where it started, but "giraffe starter" has been something I've seen people talking about recently on /vp/ even before this was "leaked." Clever idea for a starter that hasn't been done before and is "out of the box." Makes sense becoming Grass/Fairy, but I'd rather it throw us off guard and be something more unique like Grass/Electric
>FireWeird idea. Not very marketable if it's always buried underground. Also, is this really a snake or is it something else? This is the most mysterious of the starters. Fire/Ground sounds extremely likely as well.
>Water starterI like this one a lot. We have two tapir lines already, but some anons have pointed out it could turn into an elephant seal (and that would be pretty awesome if it did). Not sure about typing. Water/Ice? Water/Fighting? Water/Psychic, because it's a tapir? Lots of ways this could go.
>Starter patternsThese fit the feminine-cool-tough pattern, in theory. The fire starter definitely fits the "serpent" from the Chinese zodiac if you believe that. Same goes for the prehistoric grass starter pattern (if you believe it), as there are prehistoric giraffes.
>Japanese riddlerThis DOESN'T fit the riddler leak, unless the images the riddler shared were really obtuse references. Not sure how any of these would fit that riddle.
>SE Asia or Spain? These don't really fit either region theme, though you could argue "when have starters ever?" If anything, these starters are mishmash of Africa and S. America.
>Artistic choiceAll 3 LOOK like Pokémon, but they have a "fakemon veneer." In terms of comparing to previous starters, the only one that really seems like it would fit as a marketable starter is the water one. And when I say marketable, I mean it could appear in the anime, it could sell toys, it's something a child would gravitate toward...
