Why did they bother giving all these shitmons buffs instead of the ones that actually needed it? Did any of these even benefit from these tiny changes?

Some mons rise up in ranks thanks to those buffs + new moves added

Mantine HP buff and Pelipper SpA buff among new abilities/moves really helped them

Dodrio extra speed + a new move helped it rise a rank too

I do agree that buffin the HP in mons like Woobat was rather useless, but then again these mons would need a complete rework for them to be viable

mantine's real buff was roost, not +10 HP though. alone the 10 HP did nothing, but roost alone would have been enough.

GF knows what makes a Pokemon good, these buffs are as >>35017029 said. I remember using Arbok in HGSS and had to drop him because his damage was so low, I'm sure those 10 points to attack would've kept him on my team.
I do agree that it's absurd that there are so many Pokemon that are bottom of the barrel trash and GF looks at them and says "Hm, let's give Delcatty +20 points in speed" but then not give Silvally Recover, Extremespeed or Earthquake. I get not every Pokemon is going to be competitively viable but this feels like a slap to the face.

I fucking hate Gamefreak.

Flygon has almost every tool it needs to succeed. The only buff it needs is something that can tie it all together so it can better utilize its latent potential

Not in this meta. It needs a mega to become a fast sweeper, if it were a shillmon it'd get Tough Claws, but it's not.

The pic is wrong, Mantine had 65 and went to 85 so it gained 20 base HP. That is actually significant regardless, but Roost was also a contributor.

Remember all those retards pining for a Bug/Dragon type Mega Flygon? I wish I didn't. To this day I don't understand why they did. It would make the Pokemon that whips sandstorms by flapping its wings susceptible to sandstorms. It's almost like they don't even understand the point of the Pokemon they like.

It's not that dugtrio blocks stall, is that stall teams without it saw their big plan of being able to switch the mon they need right now collapse when some key pieces are defeated.
