I'm wouldn't be surprised if Megan come back, and I definitely dont think regional variants are done. Regional variants are a good way to make Pokemon viable without having to completely resign them and still excite fans as well

They didn't outright scotch Megas coming back, just said not for Gen VII. I'm with you on regional forms, it never made sense to me how Pikachu in Kalos were exactly the same as in Kanto, hopefully moving forward we get other stuff like that.

No. Objectively and factually wrong. Some Pokemon will always be better than others. This is an undeniable fact. No amount of wishing and hoping and strategy will make Raticate better than Landorus-T. The only way shitmons no one would otherwise touch, like your ebin meme squirrel, is on limited metas where the selection is limited and the clearly superior options aren't available so people just settle with similar yet inferior in other cases that is it available.

I don't have comp autism mate, I'm a shinyhunter. But the fact remains, anything is possible, if you're actually trying to improve your strats. But that takes more effort than running what 45% of the other spergs about are running and I know from other mp games, when you get on a winless streak it fucks with your head. I ENJOY playing the games too much to want to do that to myself by trying to match up against the world. It's why I'm still here after 20 years.

Remember "make a mega threads", remember "make a regional form" threads? I can't fucking believe that was spammed daily less than a year ago, and now they're barely around at all. I can understand GF cutting small but liked features like vs seeker and battle frontier because they "want to make every region special", but dropping such a defining and highly marketed aspect of pokemon battling, and just pokemon as a whole, is so surreal. It feels like they're desperate to come up with new things to distract from the fact that every game is the same, when people would be fine with a game repeating aspects IF THEY WERE FUCKING POLISHED FOR ONCE.

I remember seeing poor fools thinking a Sinnoh remake would introduce megas or at least sinnoh forms of pokemon, and we got nothing but some UBs and a furbait mon from the """""""""""""""third version(s)"""""""""""""""""""

Fuck Alolan Forms. At least Mega Evolutions are improvements. Alolan forms are just replacements while the originals are still just as shitty. That doesn't solve the problem. I hate that they're not interchangeable either. Most are objectively better.

Except no. No amount of "strategy" will make your Ledian better than Rayquaza. Sejun won because he's a good player who played the metagame after analyzing it and saw that the meme squirrel had a niche and fulfilled a very specific function that only it could fulfill on his team.

Not saying all those megas are good, but the base mons were worse off than before they got them.

This is Game Freak we are talking about,
Next gen, we'll probably have Interspecies Pokemon where you have to breed two specific Pokemon to get a new one, they'll make like 12 of them, and then drop it in Gen 9.

Even Salamence and Metagross were pretty bad in the XY metagame, it's not like being pseudos automatically made them good. They needed a buff, although they went absolutely overboard with Salamence.

Garchomp is not required to go fast, and the increased attack and bulk allow it to hit more, and do more damage.
The Latis are able to once again hit harder, and tank more hits, whilst not losing speed like Garchomp.
