How do you fuck up evolving into Umbreon that bad? And knowing how specific Sylveon's evolution method is, you'd think this would happen extremely rarely.
The only way I could see someone fucking up like this is if they don't realize Amie/Refresh hearts aren't Happiness, and happen to have Baby-Doll Eyes on their Eevee.
