How do you even get eggs in GSC?
I have been breeding a hitmonachan, cycling up and down Goldenrod for five hours and in that time I have only attained (and hatched, and evolved) two eggs.
What am I even doing wrong? I don't remember this shit taking so long when I was a kid.

Eggs for certain pokemon take longer than others (starters, babies, pseudos, etc) and the Goldenron/route34 stretch isn't as long as at looks. A full cycle round Goldenrod is about 90 steps.

But back in the day I remember magazines discussing about egg moves, and even about filling a couple boxes with them to choose the one with the best stats. It's maddening.
