Does banning items and certain stages stop people from enjoying Smash in any sense? What about fighters in general? Shooters? Racing games? Every genre has its own set of "house rules" that most players agree upon for "fair play."
I swear. Only in Pokemon do you get people so attatched to pixels that they get completely off the rails about rulesets that are completely optional. Don't like Smogon? Come up with your own rules. Me and my friends play without megas or z moves. whatever doesn't matter. and now you have even more choices with the VGC.
The only thing imaginary is your intellect, for your reusable to think outside yourself and be a reasonable human being.
