>>35032287>Farfetch'dActually not that bad in RBY due to learning Swords Dance at Level 23 and Gen 1 Slash being broken. In any other game you should probably just stick to the regional bird.
>GoldeenIt doesn't really get anything interesting apart from Horn Drill (Megahorn comes way too late in FRLG) and it evolves rather late, so you'd be better off trying to fish up a Seaking. That said, it's not bad, just bland and mostly outclassed.
>ShellderWithout all its fun tools like Shell Smash and Skill Link, Cloyster is pretty boring in these games. The high Defense is nice, though it can't take special attacks well at all. At least Spikes might be fun to use against the Elite Four.
>VoltorbIt's incredibly fast and Thunderbolt does decent damage, but the rest of its movepool really sucks.
>HitmonchanIt's bad in RBY because it's forced to rely on Submission for STAB. Much better in FRLG thanks to Brick Break, but aside from Mach Punch, it doesn't really have anything over the likes of Hitmonlee or Primeape; elemental punches are shit on it in the pre-Gen 4 games.
>KangaskhanHard to catch, but if you do get one, you can throw some TMs at it to fill any gaps that your team might have. That said, it can't really use special attacks well with that 40 Special Attack (though you could probably get away with using Surf on a Graveler or something).
>ElectabuzzIt's basically Raichu but it comes later in the game and can learn Psychic, so it's pretty good in Kanto games. The only issue is that between Pikachu coming very early and Zapdos being in the same dungeon as Electabuzz, there's not much reason to use it.
>TaurosIt's Kangaskhan but better in nearly every way.
>LaprasSolid stats across the board and it learns a fuckton of good moves, both from levelling up and from TMs. Only issue is it's very underlevelled when you get it; Level 15 in RBY or 25 in FRLG, at a point where your team should be in the mid-to-late 30s.
This turned out longer than I thought. Oh well.
