It strikes me as odd that people always spruce up their caricatures to make them seem more attractive. If anything, highlighting imperfections or exaggerating features makes for a more fun, interesting, or recognizable design. But I guess everybody's gotta go for that "slim and sleek anime protagonist" look, Pokemon-styled or otherwise.

In all honesty, any YouTuber that sits down and plays video games while adding their shitty, pointless commentary is utter garbage to me. I just don't see the appeal at all. Whenever I click a video to see how to get past a part in a game that I'm stuck it, I immediately take it off once I hear their dumb voice start greeting you. The nuzlocke LPs are wearing very thin now.

There's only so many times you can replay the games (esp when PokeTubers re-use the same top 30 pokemon in playthroughs) before people switch off. I know I switched off about six months ago and unfollowed all the PokeTubers I watched.

And the shiny hunting Twitch vids... their day is done.

It's time for them to diversify or leave the YouTube gaming community. Pokemon is done.

I'd like to start making Pokemon videos, but I'm not really sure what sort of content people would like. Most of it has been so done to death that most of them just churn out "Top 10" clickbait videos. I like Scykoh, Haydunn, PIMPNITE, and a few others mentioned ITT, but not all of them upload regularly or do exclusively Pokemon. Vinny doesn't know so much about pokemon. That makes him a bit more entertaining. If you showed him a more obscure pokemon like Maractus, Heatmor, Relicanth, Chinchou, or Carvine, he'd know it's a Pokemon, but not know which one it is.

You’re only making these kinds of videos so you have an excuse to shit out an easy for video for money and so that people might watch your video.

Poketubers, like most youtubers, seem to think that just because they have their own personal blog in the guise of a Pokémon YouTube channel that it gives them an excuse to talk abou the most pointless shit. They think because they have a channel/ have a few subscribers/ get a few views that they can make videos because people care about what they think or that what they have to add had value. It does not. They need to learn to shut up and try, at least try, to make some new or stimulating content.
