A chimeric beast commonly depicted as being either bovine-like, or as a monstrous felid - and most commonly with a human-like face. It features a multitude of horns and eyes across its body, but many depictions feature only a single additional eye on its forehead. Many stories of the Bai Ze mention it appearing before people to warn them of impending disaster, or with knowledge regarding other cryptid.
