Why does such a good pokemon have to suffer because of its shitty evolution? I bet you that Linda would be one of the most popular gen 6 mons if it wasn't for Talonflame

I feel you OP. It's difficult because whenever I play through the story with NFEs I always have this nagging feeling that they need to be fully evolved. And if you're interested in giving them held items they have to go though the evolution cancelling cutscene over and over. I think my favourite prevos to use are item or trade evos simply for the lack of cancellation needed.

Not to mention, Nidorino is a great design in my opinion. Nice simple colours, a design that isn't too cluttered but looks intimidating and spiney, and that naturalistic dark mottling that a lot of gen 1 Pokemon had looks really nice.

Other preevos I dig are Magnemite, Haunter, and Murkrow. At least Murkrow is useful as Prankster mon.

I've never gotten this opinion. Aipom's design was always garbage, why is it only with the addition of Ambipom people suddenly developed a liking for it when Ambipom isn't really noticably worse? I mean yeah, gen 4 was utter garbage but that shouldn't be held against its Pokemon.
