Dante Must Die Mode: Keep its BST under 500, and give it no stats over 120.

Are you really trying to argue that Mega Launcher is anywhere near Rock Absorb?
Fuck, /vp/ is shit at this game. Regardless, we'd probably see a complex ban on Rock Absorb rather than see Butterfree get banned altogether. But then those stats wouldn't be enough to carry it in OU.

Divvy up 100 stat points among Def, SpDef, and HP and put the extra 5 points in SpAtk. Give it Magic Guard and a decent special moveset.

That should at least give it at a fighting chance against rocks.

When caught, Volcarona comes holding an item that can be given to all other moth/butterfly type pokemon to buff them. It's like a souldew on steroids. Buffing all of their base stats in each stat by 40%. Which is justified because of how weak those type of pokemon already are. Except volcarona of course. For volcarona this item is a hold item to let volcarona go into a new form.
